[chirp_users] chirp problems

can't down load from radio. daily build 20151009 installed on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS ((failed to communicate with radio: device reports readiness to read but returned no dada (device disconnected?)) Error no other code numbers. I get this wile trying to download from a BF-F8HP and a FT1D This problem left the BF-HP as it was before the attempt to download and wiped the memory on the FT1D I tryed the same cables and radios on a different computer with windows vista and chirp build 20150405 programming worked on both units. not sure if I'm missing something or if this a chirp problem. I'd Like to try back dating to 20151009 on the Ubuntu unit. can someone give me the terminal command line to back date chirp. or any other help would be appreciated. thanks, Nick

I downloaded the CHIRP program to be able to program the radio but what should the settings be for Tone Mode, Tone, ToneSql, DTCS Code, DTCS Rx, DTCS Pol, Cross Mode, Duplex, Offset, Mode. I have the repeater frequency, offset, and tone, but what about these other settings??? Jerry Van Herrin

[chirp_users] Baofeng UV-5R 7 watt version not recognized by Chirp?

Hi Everyone: Just wondering if anyone has encountered a problem when trying to have Chirp recognize the Baofeng UV-5R (high power version) 7 watts handheld? I purchased one of these 2 days ago and have not been able to get Chirp to recognize it. It keeps saying that I have “Chosen the wrong model number” from the list of radios that the software recognizes. BUT I have been using the UV-5R setting?? The firmware version from the transceiver is BFP3-25. I have downloaded the latest daily version of Chirp chirp-daily-20151009-installer.exe and still have the same problem. [chirp_users] Trouble with Mac Version - Baofeng UV82

I have Baofeng UV82 and I am using Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10.5). The CHIRP give me error saying Radio did not respond. The cable is original Baofeng. I tried the same with Windows 10 and everything is working as expected. If someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks!! Following are the output of various commands and logs. Hello all, I have asked if and how I could use Chirp for the ICOM IC-2730. But no answers to my posts. Hmm, do they all hate ICOM-products? Or did I do something wrong? A simple "no" would be much better than no answer at all...
