I don't about Marine frequencies but it is illegal to use this radio to transmit on GMRS, FRS or MURS frequencies here in the USA as it is not Part 95 certified. Could it be the second Harmonic of 465.350 ? If you are close to the site, or in view of it, it would be possible to receive either signal in the 465 band or the 930 band. ? Just a shot in the dark. The other alternative is to have a switch in the software to allow "unlimited" programming, and when this is activated, a big warning pops up that the user has to read - "This is unsupported, you risk damaging your radio, and the author will not be responsible if you proceed. Again, Could some one explain? Now I had good look: loud and clear conversation. I think it is a private pro 2-way radio. look it is in 930.700Mhz. I don`t know any about technical exaplanation. Anyone can set a radio to display a frequency. That is all it does...display. At best, you will not get the pll to go there. at worst...you will permanently brick your radio. I advise any reputable software author to Not write anything to take a radio past design limits, lest someone accuse them of software that destroyed their radio. None of them would lock up at anything much above their stated range. None of them generated RF, nor would receive a +3dBm signal straight into their antenna jack. I get the following error with daily releases for 2/24 & 2/25 on the Anytone 5888UV. The previous daily release read the radio fine, but it did not pick up on the transmit PL tone.
