[chirp_users] CHIRP and BF-F9 not write with an error, why?

hi just programmed my Pofung BF-F9 (like an UV-5R )..... with chirp with no problems ! Today i READ all ok , but i think to WRITE into the radio , it say this error: http://i65.tinypic.com/14bnngl.jpg is the first time i see this error..... no problem before this day !!! a Trick, if i end the chirp program, NOT read but direct WRITE ... chirp not say to me this error....why ? thanks best 73

[chirp_users] New UV5-RTP not recognized with BF-F8HP model selection

Hello, This is my first foray into China radios and Chirp. Yesterday I get a two-pack Baofeng UV5-RTP radios. I downloaded the latest build of Chirp (20161123). When I select "BF-F8HP" as per the FAQ, I get an "Incorrect Model" error. After downloading with the UV5-R model selection, firmware version reported is HN5RV01 1FB297 debug.log after testing with BF-F8HP and then UV5-R models attached. [chirp_users] Wouxun KG UV8D deaf

Hello, I have a Wouxun UV8D which I had programmed last year with an OEM cable with success. Yesterday I have attempted to add some new channels. Everything seemed normal at a first glance but then I have realized that the radio has no reception at all. The frequency, the channel name and all other parameters can be seen on the screen and as far as I can see it transmits on both VHF and UHF (checked with a scope) but no reception, anywhere. I have seen on the net that other people had similar problems, their radios becoming deaf after programming. Does anyone know what is the cause? And the cure? Another problem I have noticed (which didn't happen last year during programming) is that my Mac (a Macbook air) tend to freeze while using Chirp. Can it be something related to the latest build? 73, Caglar TA2UH

Many times it is caused by trying to put a program from an older radio into a newer radio with different firmware.. It bricks the squelch circuit.. You can go to MIKLOR.com to reinsert the proper firmware and make a new program..I have also experienced that problem.. It wasn't programming which caused the problem, it was plugging the programming cable in which caused it. The audio goes through the headphone jack socket so the internal speaker can be muted when a plug is inserted. If the contact hasn't sprung back properly then the internal speaker will stay muted. Does the RX light turn on when it receives a signal? You could try plugging a speaker/headphones into the socket and see if you hear the audio through that. Although I believe it's a 2.5mm jack plug you'll need! -- Andrew.

First time posting on this subscription list. I'm fairly new to radio stuff, just got a handful of ATR-22s off of Amazon by Amcrest. I am trying to program them through the CHIRP software but to no avail. [chirp_users] Zastone MP-300

Greetings, Just bought one of these units (Zastone MP300) and tried to program it with CHIRP without success. When I attempt to download from the radio I get a message 'Receiver did not respond' or sometimes using one of the other suggested radio models from the dropdown menu it say's: 'Radio did not go into clone mode' These responses are from various versions of CHIRP....older or latest I am using Windows XP PRO. A recent addition to our radio club is looking for something to get him on the local repeaters. Woxun and Baofeng come to my mind as good starter radios that don't cost much and work reasonably well.
