Note though, that support for the PX-2R is also not working. Reading from or writing to the radio, especially writing to the rig, as it will need a full factory reset afterwards, loosing anything you may have manually entered into the rig. Bernhard Hailer did look into it, for which I'm grateful, and reported that there seems to be a fundamental data value range limit issue elsewhere in Chirp that causes problems. "Looks like the number of DCS codes reported by the radio exceeds what Chirp expects or can handle." I have on several occasions tried to program my Baofeng uv5r, and every time I get to the point where I Import info to radio Chirp informs me it is not working Any suggestions??? Joel KO4QFK

I just confirmed that CHIRP is running on the leaked Windows 11 Pro 64-bit preview. I am using a generic 6-in-1 programming cable with Prolific USB-to-Serial chip. I have installed the Prolific v3. 2. 0. 0 driver but the Prolific v3. 8. 39. 0 auto installed by W11 is currently selected and working. Jim KC9HI

Hello, I’m having trouble with Chirp on my Mac ( 10.13 High Sierra but same problem on Mojave ) and my new Anytone AT-778UV VOX. The radio model is not in the drop down menu. If I launch Chirp from the shell script I get this warning in the terminal; WARNING: python-future package is not available; chirp.drivers.anytone778uv requires it I guess this explains why I don’t see the radio entry in the menu. I tried installing future via pip, everything appeared to work but still no luck. Anybody encounter this problem? Any hints on where to look for a solution? Thanks, Craig

I have a PX-888 radio, a Chirp supported cable, and a Windows 10 computer.The radio is a PX-888, NOT a PX-888K.I am having trouble programming the radio. When I upload or download, the data gets garbled. Data does send both directions, but with errors.The exact model of my radio is not listed in Chirp, it lists a PX-777, and a PX888K.Please help.

Hi all, I have an issue with my new UV-5X. (shocking) The firmware version is P51UV01 and CHIRP will not communicate with the radio. My COM port is 3, the radio is a baofeng and the model is UV-5X The CHIRP message is "Rado did not respond" Tried a bunch of baofeng models and got the same response. Downloaded the baofeng software and it reads the radio fine. I can make changes from the keypad of the radio and they show up in the baofeng software when I redownload from the radio. This also works when I use the software to make changes and write the changes to the radio. It appears CHIRP doesn't work with this firmware update. Please correct me if I am wrong, as I am often wrong. This setup is working for me but I prefer CHIRP.

The CHIRP website says it supports the TH-K2, so that is what I selected when I attempted to program my TH-K20A with my Mac, but it didn’t work. It would not download the data from the radio. I tried with both RT’s USB-K4Y and the FTDI cable, but no joy. Is there anyway to use CHIRP on a Mac to program the TH-K20A? Thanks. Jim

I cant seem to find the software that ID,s that model . Also is there CPS software that will work. I am familiar with the Anytone 878 software.
