Hello all, long-time lurker here. I have noticed that the list-specific email address that I use here, has been used in attempted logins to my email server. >From the last couple days, these login attempts have been showing up in my dovecot-related logs, from the following IPs: 103.181.14.250 103.251.143.14 111.70.14.8 121.138.183.176 122.151.32.167 122.169.42.241 123.157.4.248 14.85.88.26 157.208.36.100 180.130.175.136 182.70.242.47 182.75.197.174 183.213.25.118 183.62.20.2 190.93.189.227 196.191.212.238 222.110.220.110 27.72.41.155 31.173.28.23 50.58.168.150 60.221.224.220 61.153.208.38 80.21.208.94 84.235.46.149 91.73.247.158 There is little chance of harm done on this system, but if they have mine, they're likely trying the same on other members' hosts as well. This sounds as if it should be true, but it is not. I have recently been working with exactly this problem...a link to an http URL //sometimes// is changed to https (not sure why, perhaps a DNS or browser problem), and an error msg is generated because the certificate doesn't match the link. In addition (not to argue, but to wonder), why not have the link be correct? I'm gonna guess it is a single change to a template. [chirp_users] Quansheng UV-K6 scan issue

Hello, I recently picked up a Quansheng UV-K6 Dual-band HT, and had an issue with scanning memory channels - I just wanted to share my findings here, I've opened a request for Chirp_next to change this. The issue is that manually programmed channels have a field "scanlists" that is set to "1+2", but new channels added thru chirp_next have this field blank, meaning the channel is not included in channel scanning by default. To access the "scanlists" setting, you have to enable "extra" settings under the View menu item in chirp_next. (Inside the radio, the scanlists setting is actually a couple different fields that combine to populate the chirp_next specific "scanlists" setting - there is no "scanlists" setting in the UV-K6 radio.) I had this issue running chirp_next 20231021. Ken, N2VIP

I have downloaded Chirp several times. Try to install with No luck. I have tried different browsers. I have tried rebooting. I have tried in safe mode. I have tried all the tricks I can find on the internet, and nothing works. It's like something or some file is missing. I am at my wits end. The install gets to the screen to verify and agree to the license but nothing appears. No license. It sits there for about 5 seconds then vanishes and nothing more. I got the impression that the OP was "streaming" the thought. I suspect it meant that before working on computer internals, pay attention to operator grounding. My experience was that older edge connectors were subject to oxidation. Removing the device and rubbing the edge pins with a "genuine" rubber erase, which contains an abrasive (compare with the eraser that removes polymer lead marks), would scrub off the oxidation. Problem is that used aggressively it tended to wear right through the electrical coating on the pins.
