I understand the LIVE reminder when reading the IC-7100 memory banks into Chirp, but how do I load a data file to program the damn thing?. Either I'm thick or I'm missing something, or both ! 73 Mike G8NXD

I have a Kenwood TM-V7 and a Baofeng UV-5R, along with the appropriate programming cables. I'm running Linux, and write python, php, and rust for my day job. Are there any tasks or features I can help build or test? Thank you, Jim Keener KC3NPJ

[chirp_users] Ubuntu Launcher

Hi, I have chirp in Ubuntu-Mate, 18.04. I installed an older Chirp because it works with my screenreader. But the installed launcher, but if I run chirpw in a terminal, it runs. Or I can type in the terminal: /usr/bin/chirpw and it runs fine. I have been trying to make a desktop launcher to do this, so I don't have to launch it in a terminal. But the desktop launcher attempts I try do nothing, no errors, and no launching of chirp. Any ideas why I can launch it in a terminal, but not in a desktop launcher? Thanks. Glenn
