Hi There! I just bought new radio, weircom FT7800 and used chirp to program because i thought it can be used with yaesu FT7800 system by CHIRP, but it cannot. Is there by any change Developer can build the program for weircom FT7800? Thank you for your time. Good Luck! 73

TYT th-9800 plus quad band radio

The 9800 has two vfo sides. Usually referred to by users as right side and kept side. The left side encompasses all four bands and receives other non-amateur radio bands. The right side only handles the 2-meter and 70-cm bands. My question, how program each side separately? I have a list of 2-meter and 70-cm repeaters that I would like to program to the right side of the radio. Leaving the left side for 25, 50 and non transmit frequencies. Thanks Stephen Wahl KI7TKR

Can CHIRP files be preloaded before connecting to radio?

All, I'm new to using CHIRP. I have an ICOM 2730A which has the base unit mounted in the trunk of my car. Can I setup all of my repeater info into the various memories before I connect the programming cable from the computer to the radio? Hope that makes sense, Lou
