[chirp_users] Btech UV-5X3

Power on massage field is grey'd out for Btech UV-5X3 so cannot set message. No error messages. All other features to upload programing to this radio work ! I can activate the power on message via the radio menu but it reverts back to no message after uploading from CHIRP. I tested this same daily build to activate the power on message on a BF-F8HP, BF-F8+III as well as a Yaesu FT2900, all worked without issue? Radio firmware is in the 2nd graphic below Third graphic below, for reference, is BF-F8HP showing active power on message field

[chirp_users] Issue with downloading from RT22

Hi, recently found some RT22s that we want to program so I grabbed one of our current ones that is already programmed and went to download from radio on chirp and I continue to get the error ‘radio identification failed’ Any solutions??? Sent from my iPhone

Yaesu ft 2900 vs 2980 Greetings to all radio guy's. I manage to download and upload to my Yaesu FT2980 without any issue using RT Systems USB-29 cable and the latest version of CHIRP; I also have a Yaesu FT2900 and using the same cable by RT Systems, CHIRP cannot see the radio. I have tried all models in the dropdown menue of the 29xxx series and none work. Any suggestions? For the second time I’ve gotten a warning from McAfee that there was a virus in the daily download, this time in chirp-daily-20210919-installer.exe. The first time I saw this behavior was with the 20210826 daily, before I was on the list to report it. The reported virus is Real Protect-EC!16F97D3AFE24 Not sure if it’s real or a false positive but I figured I should let you know. The file has been quarantined on my system. Kerry de kk4jo

This change attempts to resolve this by caching all column values prior to finalizing the editing and restores the values in the case validation determines nothing has changed or the new contents have failed radio verification.
