Hello, Hope I am doing this correctly, I subscribed using my e-mail. I have an Icom IC-91A that does not have the D-Star module in it. Purchased the cable from Bluemax49ers indicated for this radio and can't seem to get the radio and Chirp software to communicate. The cable driver is installed and seems to be recognized by my computer and working according to the device manager. The cable has a 2.5mm plug that fits into the data port, there is a different cable that has a 3.5mm plug that fits into the speaker port. Do I have the wrong cable for a non-D-Star radio or am I missing something? If anybody can shed a little light on this it would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve WB5EJV

[chirp_users] Kenwood TK-760H Radio Refuse...

Hello, New member/user, so apologies if I'm missing something mundane... I am trying to program a Kenwood TK-760H with Chirp. I am using a Prolific USB to 6pin cable that is supposedly designed for this radio (and similar). When I try to download from the radio it appears to partially work. The display on the radio changes to "- PC -" and shows the PC connection icon in the top left. However, after a few seconds I get the error message "Radio refuse to enter into program mode after a few tries". Of course, I never get the configuration from the radio. Ideas? Thanks, Mike

I got the FT23R UART driver from the FTDICHIP.COM web site today. The web site is https://www.drivereasy.com/knowledge/ft232r-usb-uart-driver-download-easily… This led me to another we site https://ftdichip.com/drivers/vcp-drivers/, the real driver site. I looked over the files and decided on https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM21228_Setup.zip. This file added COM: 3 to my lap-top, a Dell Precision M6700. I hope this information helps another user. I'm using Chirp software to program the radio. 73 - Myrt - N1GKE -

searched the site and scoured google, but came up with nothing. Apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge Equipment: Windows 10 64bit Prolific USB to 3.5mm Cable running 3.2.0.0 Driver (as instructed by MIKLOR), correct identified port Rugged Radios RM60 Issue: Need to Program Radio with Chirp. Radio is not listed on Chirp site. I tried selecting other radios such as TYT or QYT as others had used, but software will say 'Radio did not enter clone mode' or radio not recognized, or something along those lines. What am I missing? wrong cable/driver? incorrect radio being selected in Chirp? setting on radio? Do i have to use RT system's software and/or cable? Thanks for any help you can provide. Luis

Attempting to program 3 KGUV9DPlus radios. CHIRP seems to accept the edits, and sends to radio. Even shows all 78 stored channels when loading from radio. BUT the radio is not reading any but the first 2 channels. HELP!
