How do I add a new frequency? I downloaded what was in my radio - my fumbling around - but I'd like to go ahead and put new frequencies in. I can't figure out how to do that. I'd appreciate some assistance. Thanks, Mike WA5ZTE

Hello to all, I bought two Baofeng GT-1 to test the beat shift(scramble) option, I tried with chirp and baofeng original software, I can enable or disable this feature but scramble does not occur, the voice is always sent in plain. Can anybody help me? Best regards. Ernesto a.k.a. Xload

I have a Wouxon KG-699E, which is not listed as a radio supported by CHIRP. I think I programmed it with CHIRP, unless back in the day I had Wouxon's own programming software. So I tried to program the KG-699E with the CHIRP KG-816 driver, and it worked as far as download from and upload memories to radio. Setting tab is blank however. I assume the supported Wouxon radios would show something on the setting tab? So I am wondering if there ever has been a CHIRP driver for the KG-699E, and whether there ever will be?

Hello everyone, I have a Baofeng BF-UVB3 8W radio. My computer is linux, running Ubuntu 18.10, the newest. I have CHIRP installed and running, but I am not able to find the COM port for my radio, connected via a USB programming cable. I have entered every terminal command line I could find info about on the internet, even one that showed me port numbers for connected devices, yet there is no port number or path that works for my radio. Hi, I'm a happy user of CHIRP with a Baofeng UV-5R! Now I've purchased another chinese radio, Baojie BJ-318. Chirp supports BJ-218 in fact I think is almost the same. Program works with it, downloads and uploads data. BUT I cannot specify, for example, a channel with a frecuency "145.2875" CHIRP says that "Error setting memory: Tuning step 12.50 not supported - Frequency requires 12.50khz step". Which is false, radio supports 6.5/12.5 steps and in fact MANUALLY you can save 145.2875. Is this a bug, or a feature? :-) Thank you!!! -- Andreu Bassols i Alcón http://about.me/anigwei

Hello I have just the same problem as here: https://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/4635 I'm also have a latest UV-3R radio and it have this bug (also in OEM baofeng software). Latest Chirp daily also have this problem. Anyone know how to fix it? -- Yegor Maksimov (R9MZAK)

[chirp_users] Yaesu FT-65R support in CHIRP daily-20190412

I just installed CHIRP daily-20190412, and was able to program my Yaesu FT-65R with my standard list of repeaters from a CSV exported from a QYT-8900D, which was itself previously programmed with CHIRP. Many thanks and mad props to Dan Clemmenson. I followed the developer list traffic on this with quite some interest, so I know Dan Clemmenson (and Dan Smith) put in a lot of effort to get this working. Much appreciated! At one point last year, not too long before Dan started working on it, I signaled that I was going to dig into it....but like many before me, time and circumstance intervened, and I never fully engaged on it. 73 de AE0BQ Darryl N
