[chirp_users] QYT-KT8900D
I have several radios that I program using CHIRP, running Linux the manufacture software isn't usually compatible., so thank you to everyone that works so hard to make CHIRP a success. I have an 8900D that seems to program perfectly with one exception. This radio has four monitor slots on the front panel. When programming, the first two work great, number 3 and 4 however do not. Some settings like choosing the channel or frequency mode do work, but setting a default channel on them do not, they always come up to channel 0 after the restart. Does anyone else have this issue?
Thanks, Terry

Hi Terry,
This is a bug in the hardware that has been present since the first units began shipping in 2017.

Thanks Jim, that would make since. I appreciate the reply and confirmation.

Amnon,
It is a hardware problem. It has nothing to do with the programming software no matter what operating system is being used.
Jim KC9HI
It is a problem with the radio itself. Has nothing at all to do with Windows, Linux, or Chirp.
