I have a couple of RCA BR250 and they are good little radios but there is a marked lack of ‘3rd party’ info on them. It seems that they may actually be rebranded from another manufacturer, possibly HYT.
Can these radios be programmed by CHIRP (assuming I choose a different setting as RCA BR250 isn’t available)?
Is there a cable available or do I make my own? The pin spacing is smaller than the cable for my Baofeng UV-5R.
Thanks in advance!
Dan
What is the FCC ID on the label? An RCA XYH-BR250U1 is the same as an HYT XYH-BR250U1 You can look up both FCC IDs on the FCC OET search page or fccid.io and find RCA's change request, pictures, user manuals and other information but probably nothing about programming unless it happens to be in the user manual.
