I have downloaded CHIRP and used to program my radio but after uploading data to my radio the channels are there but I have no sound when it picks up a signal. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That is the problem. With Tone Mode set to TSQL, your radio is programmed to ignore all signals unless they are transmitting the tone that matches the value in the ToneSql column.

Check out these CHIRP Guides and Examples. The contain links to some guides that try to explain what the columns do and which columns they affect or are affected by.
