i have been reading that win 10 home 'automatic updates' cannot be turned off but win 10 home pro can. since i will have to use the older driver for the prolific chip will win 10 work or not?

Ive upgraded to Win 10 from 7. I did have to reinstall the 3.2.0.0 driver as Win 10 installed a non working new driver. So reinstall 3.2.0.0 and you will be back up and running shortly.

Just a thought. This may be of possible interest. I recently posted this on the Miklor website. It’s a $3 conversion of a generic programming cable to a chip/board that loads with no special drivers. If you’ve got a spare cable, you may want to try it.
It replaces the ‘cloned’ chips with a CP2102. Works every time.

works well with CH340G chip that does the same job. available on aliexpress and ebay for less than a dollar shipping included windows (7 and 10) installs the driver automaticaly , no need to downgrade the driver

Ive upgraded to Win 10 from 7. I did have to reinstall the 3.2.0.0 driver as Win 10 installed a non working new driver. So reinstall 3.2.0.0 and you will be back up and running shortly.

you payed too much! less than a dollar on ali or ebay. a CH340G chip works as well
how do i communicate with miklor.com guys. if i have some remarks or corrections to site content? no "contact us " found there.....
