[chirp_users] Baofeng UV -6R programming?
I picked up a Baofeng UV-6R I finally got it programmed, only problems I had was the error message sayng 0.0000 was out of limits for my receive only frequencies. but got by that.
Now I would like to change my Welcome message but I can't get it to change. settings are set in my files but when I got to load the radio it goes back to the default.
Anyone have a fix for this ?

To program a receive only channel set Duplex to "off".
The "Welcome message" works fine for me. Do you have the Power-On Message setting set to Message?

Yes power on message is set to message but still comes up as welcome.

Edit the Power-on Message. Save to a file and upload to the radio. Download from the radio and attach that image, too.

I tried to change the Message save it again and even changed some other settings and everything changed but the welcome message.

I'm trying to help you. I want you to attach 2 image files.
#1 is the one that you edited the message and uploaded to the radio #2 is the one that you downloaded from the radio after #1 was uploaded
I need to compare them to hopefully figure out what is going on.
