Any one want to look at the .img file and try it? I'll email it
I looked at the file you sent me. You exported a CSV file as a .img. So, chirp looks at the .img extension and tries to interpret it as an image, when in fact it's a .csv file.
After you downloaded your radio, use File->Save to save a .img file. Edit that, and then upload the changes back to the radio. You only need to do File->Export if you want to edit the contents in another program, Like Excel.
Make sense?

I'm not sure what you mean. Both sides of the radio should always be in sync, with the exception of 10m and 6m frequencies, which only show up on the side that supports those bands.

The hyper memory thing makes no sense to me at all, so someone else with an 8900 would have to speak up about whether they're seeing that behavior too.
However, for the one-sided issue: have you updated to the latest version recently? I put in a fix for this a couple weeks ago.
