When I downloaded, changed what I wanted,  then uploaded the changes all hyper memories were wiped clean and only the left side has memories, the right has only memory channel 1.

I'm not sure what you mean. Both sides of the radio should always be in
sync, with the exception of 10m and 6m frequencies, which only show up
on the side that supports those bands.
