[chirp_users] baufeng uv-5r
I have had a problem with a new uv-5r. I have programmed two other uv-5r radios in the past with no problems at all but this new one gives me a warning as follows---"Upload finished, but the 'Other Settings' could not be sent because the firmware version of the image does not match that of the radio"

What version of CHIRP are you using? Can you attach an image downloaded from your radio? Jim KC9HI

Hap, Turn radio OFF, then press the "3" key & hold, turn radio on while holding the "3" down,you should see a BFBXXX where XXX is a number like BFB397.

I DOWNLOADED THE ORIGINAL FACTURY SETTINGS AND THEN REWROTE THE FREQUENCIES I NEEDED AND RELOADED THE MODIFIED FACTORY AND IT WORKED FLAWLESSLY. Thanks for all your help. Hap K6HAP

Download from the new uv-5r FIRST. Then make your changes and upload. Do not upload from a previously saved uv-5r file as the firmware revisions most likely are different (they are different on my 2 radios).
