[chirp_users] Daily Update will not install
Sent from Mailhttps://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=550986 for Windows 10 I can not get the daily updates to install anymore. I get a 1% done, then error message
Using windows 10 with Norton
Error message: Delete file: C:\Program Files (x86)\CHIRP\COPYING Output folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\CHIRP Extract: COPYING... 100% Can't write: C:\Program Files (x86)\CHIRP_hashlib.pyd
I suspect a problem after Windows 10 updates.

Hi Doug,
Make sure there are no instances of CHIRP running. Then right-click the CHIRP installer and choose "Run as administrator" (even if your user is an admin user).

I made sure no previous CHIRP was running and it loaded and installed. Problem resolved. Thanks very much. May I plead a senior Moment? Age 76, continuously licensed since 1957. A+ Certified IT (Xp)

Hi Doug,
I plead a senior moment from time to time and I was only 3 when you got your license (I didn't get my license until 15 years later).
It is good to hear you have the problem resolved.
