Have new radio and this specific model does not appear on the list when setting up to clone the radio. I have tried every model on the list and I get same result "Radio did not respond. I can see the USB Serial Port (Com3) installed and the USB Serial Converter pops up when the connector cable is installed . (I did install largest drivers.)
So as the "newer" radio not listed am I just out of luck or what? I bought cable from BTECH and downloaded CHIRP from WWW.Baofengtech.com/download as instructed.

Perhaps nobody has asked for that model to be included.

The selection you should use is most likely Vendor: Radioddity and Model: UV-5RX3. If you try this and it fails, attach a debug.log file.

Not sure I am responding properly but found cross reference and yes UV-5RX3 worked!! My first time at this so am learning "tricks" as I go,,, Thanks much!

Chris,
This is what the Supported Radio Models list shows.
Baofeng/Pofung * UV-S9 (use Radioddity UV-5RX3)
I will update it to show the UV-S9T.
Jim KC9HI
I found it. Did not make sense at first but caught on. The model is correct. The “T” is for just the battery pack, listing is correct. (UV-S9).
Thanks much!!
