I use CHIRP on my UV-25X4 and UV-50X2. Check the settings tab in CHIRP, sub tab Work Mode Settings. There you will find MR A thru D and VFO A thru D. Even when set, these appear to have little impact. Jim (see thread comment below) is correct. Any time I power on my rig, what is in CHIRP memory channel #0 is active in position #3 of the display. In my case, I have display #3 and #4 synced with #3 the frequency and #4 the tag. This is not a problem for me since I monitor this particular repeater. Just put in CHIRP memory #0 what you want to monitor on rig position #3. Great radios these Baofengs!

I know it is something I'm doing wrong but I can't get the Btech UV-25X4 to program. I can read the radio, update the templete and upload to the radio but it doesn't overwrite the display so my new channels only show up in position 4 on the display. The default channels remain in position 1-3. If someone has experience with this radio, please contact me offline or share a working file that I can compare.
Thanking you in advance.

This is a bug in the radio. Manually select the channels that you want in each display line. Then remove power from the radio (turning it off is not enough). Power it back up. Display lines 3 and 4 will have reverted to the lowest programmed channel number.
