
Since I had no success with the IC-T70A and MacOS, I turned to my Raspberry PI 3 with Raspbian. I had to issue the permissions commands under: https://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Running_Under_Linux

Make sure you log and and log back in after making the change. Changes to Linux groups don't get applied until you log in.
