I had a similar problem with mine my windows 7 my Windows XP works fine but I had to download the disc that came with my program cable and had to download the driver that was stamped on the back of the paperwork for the disc . Then it all loaded in and work is great I was able to clone the radio to reprogram it and then upload and download it. Hope this helps Hello Tom,
I am affrayed, this is not the issue, my Login name is Jura, no special eastern europeancharacters. By side I use Czech wersion of Win7 and Win8.1 so this should also not be the case.
Anyway thank´s for your quick reply.

Hello all,
I have an issue with Chirpinstalled on my Win7 Home Premium computer. In all cases after installation of several versions and daily updates I
can
not start Chirp, I receive only an error window "Error reporting is
enabled"
and when I click "OK" nothing happens.
Sounds like it could be this bug: http://chirp.danplanet.com/issues/272
