I would be interested in taking a look at the img files, especially if there are some with repeating frequencies or incrementing frequencies. It may also be helpful to know if the memory layout resembles save files made by the OEM software.

I've not worked on the Chirp codebase before or trying to figure out the programming instructions for a radio, but I'm a developer, have some python experience, and a radio I'd like to use Chirp with!

(I see the online guides for getting started with support for a new radio, this is just really asking if anyone's already working on it.)

I have been able to successfully download and save a CHIRP Radio Images (*.img) file from the radio from the UV-17 Pro GPS. Unfortunately I have not been able to crack how the frequencies are stored or find someone else that could crack it for me.
