[chirp_users] Baofeng GT-3 Mark-II
I have all frequencies saved in a CHIRP file. I can't figure out how to export to the Radio. The icon for upload to Radio will not become active.Suggestions? Thanks, John
Have you been able to "Download from radio". Often this is a computer port issue.

Richard, Thank you for responding. No, I have not been able to export. I have a complete file of freq's saved in a cvs format.
I uninstalled CHIRP software and presently getting ready to reinstall (WIN-10 PRO)
I do have the computer recognizing the cable via COM3.
Thanks, John

John - I'm on Windows 10 also. I purchased a different cable which is supposed to eliminate problems: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HUB0ONK.
I'm not sure that was needed but apparently cables can be an issue. It sounds like you are not really connected to the radio. Be sure the double pin plug is fully inserted - they can be sticky and only go part way in.

It may show a Com port, but you need to use the correct driver, I believe it is 3.2.02. It is an older driver but the only one that works properly for the radio. Check the faq page for more information.

Thanks for advice. I believe it is in the USB connection on computer. I will have to go to another computer and try again.
I know it had good connection originally, because I was able to download from Repeater Site.
Will follow-up tomorrow.
Good evening, JB

You can't upload a generic CSV file to the radio. You must download from the radio first to get a compatible template. Save it first before making any changes (this is your backup file). Then you can copy and paste the channels from your generic CSV tab to the tab for your radio. Then you can upload the changes to your radio.
