Is there anyway that I can do this, like remove the battery for 24 hrs. The "geek" in me wants to know

Your radio has a squelch threshold setting that is out-of-range. Unfortunately a RESET is neither a "reset" or a "factory" reset.

Email your downloaded image to me and I will email it back with a value that is in range.
