I have 8 of the units with BFB-297 firmware…

Hi, I am not capable of working on it, but I have two units with that firmware, one works uploading and downloading, the other works downloading , but I get an error when uploading "wrong firmware version BFB299 BFB297 on one unit. When I power the radios on both radios say "BFB297" . I don't get it. Thanks, Leo Ryan

I've BFB297 Firmware on my UV-5RA & have a weird situation occurring with mine. It uploads/downloads just fine but I've a local repeater that has RX of 147.180, TX of 147.780, Tone of 151.4. However, it does opposite of Freq. settings. Jim, KC9HI, is looking at this issue as well, I'm just throwing this out FYI. I am so new at this the price tag is still on, but I did have an issue with my UV5R last night. I was trying to manually program a repeater in my area it was rx 147.160 and tx 147.180 tone 100.00+ but whenever I input the channel, it would not accept 147.160. It would change to 147.150. Leo, Check your Frequency Step at Menu 1, you may need to change it. Mine is 5.0k and it accepted & kept 147.160. I'm just guessing here, some with more experience may have a much better solution.
