Will Chirp allow programming on Radios that have been modified to transmit below and above the 2M HAM range (144-148)?
John
Chirp restricts frequencies on a per-radio basis determined by what the radio can store, regardless of transmit permission. For example, Chirp can store frequencies in the following range in my Yaesu VX5 because of its extended receive capability: 0.500000-16.000000 MHz, 48.000000-729.000000 MHz, 800.000000-999.000000 MHz
You can see the specific range supported for each radio here, in the "Bands" column: http://chirp.danplanet.com/download/0.3.0/Model_Support.html
If we assigned the wrong range to any radio, let us know.
