[chirp_users] Error loading FTDI cable
Following updating my laptop to Windows 10; when trying to use my FTDI cable to program a new UV82 (YES, I downloaded the newest daily build software) I receive the following error code:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
{Not Enough Quota} Not enough virtual memory or paging file quota is available to complete the specified operation.
Someone PLEASE tell me WTH is going on here; and how do I make it work? Roger M. Sent from Mail for Windows 10
I think you're doing something wrong. Can you tell us EXACTLY what you downloaded, what executable you're trying to run, etc. The error you're getting is an operating system type error saying you don't have enough memory to run whatever you told it to run. How much RAM do you have installed in your computer?

Well, I uninstalled driver, went and got the latest FTDI driver; installed it and restarted the laptop. Now it works just fine. So, thank you for your response. I appreciate it! Roger N0XEP

Later versions of Windows, 7 and later, will automatically install the correct drivers if you have the FTDI based cable.
