Hi all,
I just posted CHIRP 0.1.9b10 with a single change. There is now an additional option in the Radio menu to allow you to set the frequency on a D-STAR repeater module. I have tested this with an ID-RP4000V and an ID-RP2000V with success. If anyone has a repeater module sitting around, I'd appreciate a report.
Also, I think that we should call 0.1.9 official pretty soon. I want to add support for the IC9x special memories and then I think that's a good place to stop. The new 9x background load features would be good to get into the hands of regular users before we attack some of the more disruptive things that are currently on the task list.
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Wish I did... Cool addition! A reason to keep a copy of CHIRP on the Linux box at the repeater site, for sure!
:-)
You should probably mention this announcement on the D-STAR Gateway list, too...

Especially since you can run the command-line tool to set the frequency without a UI :)
You need my sneaky fix-icom-screwyness script to get the serial device to show up too though... :)

Yep, I'll do that when there's a released version with the functionality :)
Thanks!
Dan,
I'm very interested in using Chirp, but don't know where to find where it is actually posted. Can you help?
Thanks,

The released versions are available here:
http://chirp.danplanet.com/wiki/DownloadPage
and the betas (such as the one that is the subject of this note) are available here:
http://chirp.danplanet.com/download/beta/
Note that currently 0.1.9b11 is the latest beta version available.
Thanks!

Anyone have an opinion here? Have people used 0.1.9b11 enough to call it good as a stable release?
Thanks!
