I downloaded the new "daily build" of CHIRP software, installed it, and tried it with the Baofeng UV-3 R HT.

I transfered the contents of the HT to the software, and all worked fine. I added a few memory channels, changed some things in others, and then loaded it back to the HT. All seems to be working fine.
