I read somewhere that the CHIRP program for Baofeng Radios such as the UV-5R III model drops the capability of programming in the 220 input/output frequencies. This model is supposed to operate on the three bands. Everything else seems to work just fine as far as programming the radio. Your program is wonderful. I am using the latest version of CHIRP. Am I not doing something correctly?. Or is this simply a limitation to the program?
Thank you in advance for whatever help you can provide, 73, de Ric WD7U

Just like it shows in the Supported Radio Models list on the CHIRP home page...
Baofeng/Pofung UV-5RIII (use Radioddity UV-5RX3)
The rule of thumb for most UV-5R like radios is...
Baofeng 2 bands, 2 TX power levels: Baofeng / UV-5R 2 bands, 3 TX power levels: Baofeng / BF-F8HP 3 bands, 2 TX power levels: Radioddity / UV-5RX3 <-- choose this
Baofeng Tech (aka BTech) 3 bands, 2 TX power levels: BTECH / UV-5X3
