Good morning, I'm wondering if I can program my Baofeng GT5TP with my Chirp. Having problem. Thank you, Al Manchester

A description of your problem would help. What type of programming cable. What lights are lit

Sorry,I just bought it new ordered a cable with it and disk,but I prefer Chirp. When I plug it in,message says unable to read radio or something to that effect. No lights come on,and I think I tried the UV 82 HP with no luck.
