Hi, It looks like it is FTDI. Thanks, Elaine
Elaine,
That ought to be the perfect setup. I would double, double-check that the 2-pin plug is fully plugged in. With my UV-82 radios, the plug want to stick just short of being fully plugged in. And it feels like it was fully seated but a little wiggling while pushing results in the plug going in the rest of the way.
If that doesn't work, try getting the debug.log file and attaching to your reply.

Wow - it had seemed like it was pushed all the way in. But I gave it an extra hard push and now it is working! Thank you!

Elaine,
Don't feel bad, I've been plugging programming cables into my Baofeng (and other) radios for over 3 years and it still fools me now and then.

What I don't understand is why they continue to make them this way! I mean, if the solution is LESS material around the base of the programming cable or a thinner case around the radio's PCB.. wouldn't that make things a little cheaper? Isn't that their whole point anyway? ;-)
