[chirp_users] Baofeng UV-5R question - programmable memory channels
Short of downloading the archives and plugging into mail client, and online search of archives is non-existent, I'll ask here.
Never programmed more than 76 channels before. I grabbed all of the repeaters that border the Interstate I normally travel, which adds up to 144, at the moment.
When programming the Baofeng UV5R it says a max of 127 channels can be programmed. I tried upping the number in the fields at the top of CHIRP, but that does not help either.
What am I missing here?
Thank you.

It is a hardware limitation. The radio only supports 128 channels numbered from 000 to 127.
