I installed the stable version, then wanted to add the daily build. When I followed the instructions, "sudo apt-get update". I get the following messages:
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/dansmith/chirp-snapshots/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/ source/Sources 404 Not Found
W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/dansmith/chirp-snapshots/ubuntu/dists/oneiric/main/ binary-i386/Packages 404 Not Found
What did I do wrong?
Will WC2L
The ppa only provides packages for Precise; you're using Oneiric.
Your options for daily builds are to install the tar.gz or upgrade Ubuntu.

Not from the PPA with Oneiric. If you want to use the PPA, you need to upgrade your OS to 12.04.
If you don't want to do that, then download the .tar.gz from the daily build directory, extract it, and run the "chirpw" from within.
