How many channels are there on the 2 meter and 70 cm bands?
Thank you, Clark
They aren’t ‘channels’, they are listed as frequencies. How many is determined by your frequency step used. Check www.Arrl.org for more info.

Hi, That number is different everywhere, and that number only refers to repeater towers. You can tune anywhere you want to communicate to another radio, so radio to radio, there are thousands of possibilities, as long as you aren't interfering with a repeater. But for the answer you are looking for, I recommend going to radioreference.com and putting in your zip code and you will find the repeaters in your area for those bands. HTH. No channels, only frequencies. The number of frequencies is infinite. :-)

You also need an Amateur Radio (ham) license to use the frequencies on 2 meter and 70cm bands.

Depends on channel spacing and which country you're in.

You will have to do division between the allocated frequency band and for 6khz between each frequency for 2m. Can’t remember for 440 or 220. Do not forget PL tones😁
