[chirp_users] [CHIRP] #33: Config remember
#33: Config remember -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Reporter: n6jsx@… | Type: Bug Status: new | Priority: Stability Milestone: | Component: IC-91/92 Version: 0.1.9 | Keywords: Platform: Windows | -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- I'd sure like to NOT have to select my radio/comm port each time!
For 91AD how about DL both VFO "A" and VFO "B" memory tables then let us toggle between them?
Default to max memories available on that radio then let the user reduce the size rather then your per-set 25 memories.
I was able to DL my existing 91AD VFO A memories and saved to your .chirp file. I try to open .chirp via NEW then OPEN the file... I get a constant error opening JSX-A.chirp. "Unable to load schema" message that appears truncated.
I tried to convert two RS91 made .icf files - Chirp appears to open the files then asks me for a save name. I've typing a name like JSX-a.img and nothing gets made. A very brief window pops up I cannot read no .img is made (I looked throughout the PC folders/drives).
Appears the program does not work with files functions. Running WinXP Pro w/SP3, 3gig speed, 2gig RAM

My first time on here, I have been watching for a while though. I am in full agreement with Dale here, I have a 92AD and notice that I have to go through the same thing. There should be a place to configure the radio and com port.
I too would like to see a larger size than 25, perhaps make it user settable too?
I also notice that the [dowload from radio] does not have the 9x radios is this due to the fact that it pulls the radio data down when you issue the connect?
I am working up in Kalama, WA. If you need to test on a 92AD I can always head down that way for a few hours if we are not too busy in the plant. That is until they ship me out of here to another customer location. Also usually much more time available on weekends when I do not fly home.

Yep, fully agree, I've just not had time to get it added and other features have taken precedence.

Well, you can change the 25 number each time and see more, but yes, I'd like to have that be a preference as well.

Right, the "Download from radio" does a clone operation. The 91 and 92 radios do not support that action, which is why you have to connect to them live.

Thanks, but I've got a 92 to work with. Plus, the 91 and 92 are identical in all aspects, from CHIRP's point of view at the moment.
Thanks!
Any Ideas on a Native OSX release? I'd been using CHIRP on Linux, XP Pro and Windows 2000 but would be nice to use it under a native OSX. Just looking for a possible time frame?

There are MacOS packages available, although I guess nobody made any for the 0.1.9 release. Maybe Debbie will see this and cook us up some... :)
For now, go to the beta area and grab the most recent MacOSX spin:
http://chirp.danplanet.com/download/beta/
I'd gotten stuck on the serial port problem and never gotten back to trying a build once that was fixed. Dan you can send me a pointer to the right build-parts directory to grab for the most current version, and I'll give it a shot.
thanks, -debbie

This will give you the current tree:

Thanks!
Debbie; Might this help?
