[chirp_users] CHIRP won't recognize .csv file
I just got a new mobile, a YAESU FTM-7250. Since CHIRP doesn't support this radio yet, also I bought a programming cable and software from RT Systems. This afternoon I built a big (100 plus lines) file with a lot of local and regional repeaters and simplex channels and successfully downloaded it to the new radio, and it all works fine. I then saved the file as a .CSV file so I could import it into CHIRP and load it into my other radios. Unfortunately, when I try to import the .CSV file into CHIRP it tells me the file isn't recognized. I saved the file in .CSV format both from the RT Systems software and from an Open Office spreadsheet and neither will load. I haven't had any trouble loading other .CSV files into CHIRP in the past so I'm mystified as to why this one won't work. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks Dave KG7HBQ
.CSV dowsn't mean that the correct fields are included or in the correct order, or that the field headers are there, or that the fields are seperated by commas and not some other character.

Download from destination radio and save a .csv file. Copy one column at a time from the RT .csv to the corresponding Chirp .csv file. Making sure the data is in the same format. For example, and I am making this up, "144.0 MHZ" may have to be changed to "144.000" Play with it. You'll get it. I've done it.
