[chirp_users] Help with Baofeng UV-5R V2+
I am trying to clone my new Baofeng UV-5R V2+ and my programming cable is up to date and I just so happened to download the newest version of chirp today and now I can download or upload anything from or to my radio. Even from my old radio it won't do either. It worked about a week ago. Now it won't do anything. Please help... Thanks.

The problem is your programming cable is up to date. You need to roll the Prolific driver back to 3.2.0.0. Goto www.miklor.com for more info.

Do you use Windows? If you do and you have a programing cable with a Prolific type chip in it, the device driver must not be "up to date". You will have to download, install and select the Prolific v3.2.0.0 device driver.
Did you upgrade to Windows 10? The upgrade will also update all of the device drivers to their latest version. If you have a programming cable with a Prolific type chip in it, the new device driver will be incompatible. You will have to downgrade it to v3.2.0.0 again.
