[chirp_users] The VHF low band is still in use
One of the largest police agencies, with thousands of radios, and covering one of the largest geographical areas, still uses VHF low band, and has absolutely no plans on moving, or changing. That is the California Highway Patrol. (CHP).
That is amazing, I thought the FCC pretty much told all agencies that they WILL switch to trunked 800 band systems as well as go to narrow band on anything else they use as back up channels.
