[chirp_users] Looking for help testing specific radios...

Dan
I know you have testers for the VX8DR and the VX8G, if you could use another tester for the VX8R (Not DR or G) I would be willing to throw my hat in the ring. I am pretty good at breaking things and would enjoy the chance to help out in this wonderful hobby.
Thanks Dan KF7ICX

That would be great, thanks. Whenever I post a beta version, I'd appreciate an ACK/NAK on how it works for you.
Here is a set of starting points on "how to break chirp":

Thanks!

Thank you. I look forward to helping out on this project.

Do you have a test-suite, csv, or generic chirp file full of odd-stepped frequencies, alpha tags with punctuation, tones, duplex mode, etc.? This would minimize a lot of the effort required to test a radio with a new version. If nothing like this exists, I may create one the next time I am testing a radio.

No, but I have thought about it many times. I have a big CSV file which is my local fire station's frequency plan that I usually use.
However, I really like the idea of an end-all CSV file with all the possible trickery. That would help people validate that the import process ignores tricky things that the particular radio model doesn't support (like D-STAR into a Yaesu radio, VHF into a UHF-only model, etc).
Thanks for volunteering. Maybe you can post an initial version here and get some comments and suggestions from the crowd?

No problem, not sure when I'll get around to it though. Nobody hold your breath! I'll post here when I have something.
