Greetings,
A new daily build of CHIRP is available. This includes changes made directly to the tree yesterday, and may include additional features, bug fixes, and/or bugs. If you are interested in trying it, grab it from the following location:

A list of the changes included in this build (since the last daily) follows:

Anyone have a TM-271 that could test this?
changeset: 1154:16905145cd2b user: Dan Smithdsmith@danplanet.com date: Mon Aug 22 13:47:11 2011 -0700 files: chirp/ft2800.py description: [ft2800] Fix up clone conversation timing and a bunch of left-over debug
Eric and Jim (and anyone else with a 2800), please let me know if this change helps.
Thanks!
Regarding the 2800M changes... The upload is working a little more often but it is still failing the majority of the attempts. Interestingly, it seems to work a high percentage of the time on the first attempt after starting chirp. Successive attempts (with restarting chirp) are likely to fail with "failed to read echo".

Hmm, that's strange. I don't see that here. I did ten uploads in a row without a failure.
Is this on Windows? Linux?

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04. I'll give it a try in Windows later tonight or tomorrow.

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04. I'll give it a try in Windows later tonight or tomorrow.
Actually I was wondering if it was Windows only to see if that was a difference between your setup and mine. I'm running the same.
I just pushed a change up to the repo. If you're around today, could you go ahead and test it before the daily tomorrow?

Thanks!
I'm having success about 1 in 5 attempts now. Of course, the error message has changed to "Failed to read echo chunk". I'm going to give it a shot in Windows to see if I can reproduce.
