I am first time Chirp user. I have downloaded the Python software and Chirp. When I go to Applications and click on Chirp I get a BLANK PAGE with Chirp written on the top. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like it's working great. Now click on File > New, File > Open, or Radio > Download from Radio to get started.
