[chirp_users] TYT th-9800 Memory
Hello all,
I am having huge issue using Chirp in windows 10 so I have installed chirp on a Ubuntu and i worked first time first try.
I bought the TYT because it is a quad band and I wanted this to be a mobile that I could use as a house rig as well.
The only thing I cannot figure out is that the TH-9800 has a 800 channel Memory but all i am getting is 25 total.
Can someone tell me what I have to do to add additional memories and Bands?
In the upper left hand corner of the screen, you will see the number 25. Increase that to the end of the scroll, should show your 800 memories. Hit the refresh button next to the number showing.

Thanks you Jardy,
I have checked and I have not seen the Number that you have mentioned. I do see the list of channels from 1 - 800, I have hit refresh but the Channel count doesn't increase. Stuck at 25.
I am running the latest version of Chirp and system is up-to-date. Not sure why this isn't here.
If there is anything more you need please let me know?

Are the channels above 25 empty? Is the 'Show Empty' button selected?
Fred

Just went back t confirm that the Cells are empty and I noticed number 26 thru ??? havent gotten to the bottom of the list. That must have done it, I'm cured. :-), Now I have a lot more editing to go.

Are you trying the scroll bar on the right hand side of the frequency list, or the down arrow to scroll past number 25? If 800 is already showing in the number box, then that should be a really stupid question, I know.

Hi all,
Being new to this radio and programming with a computer of said radio, i may have confused a number of people. I will try to explain,
When I first connected the radio I had a few channels entered from manually putting them in. i found that I had a few repeaters in twice and simplex frequencies in multiple times. The first download from the radio was a success but I could only enter up to memory channel 25. When I sent in the first email I listened to the advise i was given and I now have 800 memory channels. I can now scroll through all 800 channels.
I have not used the software that came with the I thought I should use something better like Chirp. I'm glad I did. I didn’t want to get too deep into something that I'm sure, would have been a little more difficult to use.
Good Job on Chirp, once i get better at it I'm sure I will be navigating better on my own,
Thanks all, Dan ve3zxs
