[chirp_users] Downloading problems
Hi I am having problems downloading from radio .I have arcshell5 and an rt cable .They said it would work with a Mac. I have Sierra operating system.I get an error message saying an error has occurred no response from radio. Or when I chose another choice I get an error that includes the name of one of our computer.an error has occurred could not open port/dev/cu.velosia2/-serial port-4{ermo/6}resource busy:/dev/cuvelosia 2-serial port-4. Thank you for your help.
Make sure that the cable is plugged in “Firmly” to the radio, port connection message generally means that it is not.

The other thing to try is, turn the volume up on the radio when trying uploading frequencies to radio. I had run into the same as your first error message. Turning up the volume solved the problem!

I know the feeling, Dennis. It comes from a misunderstanding of how the data is transferred through the speaker/mic connectors. People think "modem" when it's not. It's a straight serial connection. Think RS232C, not ITU V.90/92 standards.
