[chirp_users] Downloading to Baofung BF-F9
I was able to download the driver for my cable finally, downloaded Chirp to my Dell running Win 7 and was able to upload from my BF-F9 using the BF5 selection. I add all my data for download to the radio but keep receiving an error message stating that there is unsupported firmware incompatible. Could you please provide a fix for me, thanks for your time….

Also, are you trying to upload the same data file that you downloaded from the radio, or are you try to upload a file that came from a different radio? The error you are getting is the one you would get when you try to upload a CHIRP Radio Image (*.img) file that was save from a radio with BFB firmware into a radio with N5R firmware. If that is the case, you must not do that and that it why CHIRP is preventing it.
Instead, you can download from your radio into CHIRP and then use File -> Import -> change the file mask to "CHIRP Radio Images (*.img)" and then find and import the "master" .img file that you are trying to put into your radio. An alternate to that would be to load the "master" file into a second tab allow you to copy-and-paste the channels between the tabs.
