Hello. I have a simple question. Is CHIRP software compatible with Windows systems that use the new Qualcomm ARM-based processors?
Thank you, Tom
It *should*, based on this link, but I am not an authority:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/arm/apps-on-arm-x86-emulation

Hello Ken, Thank you for your reply! I checked the FAQ's and forums first for an answer, but found none. I understand how difficult it must be to answer everyone's questions about CHIRP, and I just wanted to say I appreciate your timely response. Hopefully I asked using the proper link but, if not, thank you for your reply. The new ARM processors in PC's really intrigue me, and I'm probably going to get one.
Thank you again!

Hi! I use a MacBook Pro with a M1 (ARM) processor, and to run Windows software I use Parallels with a Windows 11 ARM version. Inside this Windows I can run all X86 software, due to a compatibility layer. I.E., SDR# and some other professional software, as Autodesk’s Revit. To answer your question, I downloaded chirp-next-20241220-installer, installed it. It open and work.
Enjoy Roberto
