hello there and two all i have windows XP and chrip and the baofeng software and i DONOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS useing the software on xp and i have sp3 installed you have to be doing some thing wrong but xp is easy windows 7 windows8 know that is other baby in its self delete all of chrip go into regedit and clear all then reboot computer then re-install chrip
