[chirp_users] Chirp latest daily with Baofeng UV-5R
Hi all,
I am using a Baofeng UV-5R with BFB297 firmware and CHIRP daily (today's build).
I have used Chirp successfully with the Wouxun KG-UVD1P, Baofeng UV-3R and Yaesu FT-857D, however, when I use the USB cable I got for my Wouxun to try and download the img from the UV-5R the radio does not communicate with the software.
Chirp sends two magic numbers to the rig, but the rig doesn't reply.
I have tested Chirp with the Wouxun and the UV-3R, and it works fine.
Many thanks

Hi Matt,
My brother (W0BLB) just dropped off his 2 UV-5R's on Monday with his USB cable. My 2 UV-5R's came on Monday and I said I would program all of them for us. Yesterday I had the same issue and then found I was not getting the mini-pin connector completely seated in the UV-5R. The connector has to by pushed pretty hard into the UV-5R to get a good connection.
Just my $.02 worth (and hope it's helpful).
